About David
I’m David, a Yale University undergraduate (Timothy Dwight College) who is interested in politics, economics, and all things Minnesotan. A few years ago I used to blog for Minnesota Blue, a community of young DFLers who wrote about politics and growing up in rural Minnesota. Thankfully, all of my writings there are now safely cloistered behind a strong password–I had an unabashedly liberal phase that in hindsight is a bit embarrassing—however, even though I stopped writing for MNBlue I didn’t drop out of the political scene.
In fact, if anything, my involvement only increased during my last two years of high school. I worked on Christian Sande’s Secretary of State campaign in 2006 and served as a staffer on Rep. Kate Knuth’s (50B) campaign during 2007/2008 while I attended the University of Minnesota as a PSEO student. Over the past two years I’ve also been religiously reading Matt Yglesias, Ezra Klein, and Andrew Sullivan, among many others. The Israeli/Palestinian conflict, nuclear energy, privatizing the US postal service and agriculture policy (a yawn for most I know, but I hail from MN-07) are my ‘hot-button’ issues. From time to time, I also hope to write a few restaurant reviews and pieces about cooking (a la The Internet Food Association), in addition to providing a little commentary on Minnesotan politics.
Hope you enjoy.
